and she’s super cool, and we like all the same things but then she said "omg, we could like, totally be best friends." And I said to her, without a moment’s hesitation, "I already have a best friend. Her name is Valentina Castro."
I met this Serbian kid who's in my German class today.
He was fluent in Spanish. But not that broken, washed out Spanish that we Dominicans speak. I’m talking Spanish. Like, from Spain. But all in all, it felt good to meet another Spanish speaking kid other than myself. It was kind of intimidating to approach him though. He’s tall, and on that Super-model status, so I didn’t think he’d be so welcoming. We had a full conversation in Spanish and it was dope because now I know I’m not the only Spanish kid in my class.
It also felt good to give him the comfort he needed. He said he felt alone because his father’s in Montenegro working, his mother, uncles, and aunts are all in Italy, and his girlfriend’s in Serbia, so he was worried that he’d have no one to really talk to. Luckily, I approached him and now we’re pretty cool. :]
You cannot determine what isn’t good or shitty music because your opinion on the subject is just not that relevant and that’s something you’re going to have to deal with. That’s why I stopped shitting on Lil B. That’s why I stopped shitting on Wiz Khalifa, and Pierce The Veil and My Chemical Romance. Sure, I may not like these bands/artists, but someone else does, and someone else will always find quality where some people don’t, which is why I say I’m just not into them.
I’m sick of getting into confrontations with people about heavy music and all they can seem to bring up is the fact that I’m wearing a Parkway Drive tank-top in my header. Like, really? That’s the best you can come up with? Who gives a fuck if I like Parkway Drive? Parkway Drive is beautiful to me, and their music is fucking amazing. To me. Just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean the music they make is shitty.
I think people need to get the fuck over themselves.
